Police Update

As part of a new initiative for the Norbury Ward, the police are providing a weekly update of crimes that have occurred in Norbury in the previous seven days.

The latest report shows a number of theft offences across the ward, in particular theft from motor vehicles. PC Tom Norry, from the Norbury Neighbourhood Policing Team, asks owners to ensure that all vehicles are secure when leaving them overnight and also that any mopeds or motorcycles you own have a suitable chain attached to them to prevent any theft.

PC Norry, along with his colleagues PS Peacock and PC Watts have been out at Norbury train station both in the morning and evening rush hours handing out leaflets relating to securing your mobile phone, along with registering it with immobilise.com to allow police to trace the phone’s owner should we locate it. It also allows you to record it as stolen should the worst happen. They will be back at the station soon so please do say hello if you see them.

If you require any crime prevention advice then you can contact the Norbury Neighbourhood Policing Team on 020 8721 2477 or by email at Norbury.snt@met.police.uk
